Pat Gigante, Owner of Xcelerated Performance

Xcelerated Performance is a performance-enhancement organization dedicated to teaching the components of successful training and fitness habits to people of all ages.  Our goal is to educate our clients and make them the most physically fit they can be.

Pat Gigante, Owner of XP, (KSI Coach, SSC, CPT) has over 15 years experience preparing athletes for elite competition in all sports at the collegiate and youth levels. With experience working with multiple professional athletes and top collegiate lacrosse, hockey, football, soccer, and baseball players, Pat has honed his ability to develop the entire athlete.  Pat spent many years as the Strength & Conditioning Coach at Tufts University and has extensive knowledge in injury prevention and rehab techniques.

Nicco Riparo is entering his 5th year as a Head Strength and Conditioning coach at XP Athletic Performance. He is also contracted to assist in training at The Brooks School in North Andover, and The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA. Prior to starting as a full-time strength coach, Nicco was an athlete of XP who was training to play collegiate soccer at Merrimack College and UMass Lowell.

Over the years, Nicco has honed his skills of programming, exercise selection, rehabilitation techniques, and movement mechanics by working directly with Owner Patrick Gigante. During this time, he has worked with several professional, collegiate, and youth athletes. In 2017, along with Coaching at XP, Nicco completed a yearlong internship at Tufts University assisting with men’s lacrosse, sailing, women’s crew, swim and dive, field hockey and football. Also during the summer of 2017, Nicco spent time as an intern for Boston University, working with both the men’s ice hockey and field hockey teams. This gave him added insights to see how a prestigious college hockey program prepares for their upcoming season. He worked closely with Coach Czech, of BU, who allowed him the opportunity to assist with numerous NHL players who were training through Prentiss Hockey Performance.

In 2016, Nicco graduated from Merrimack College with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine which helped him gain his academic knowledge in the industry. In 2017, he continued his education at Merrimack College, where he graduated with a Master’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Nicco has also received his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Most recently he achieved his level 1 certification in Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR).

Ben Piecz, Head Strength Coach at XP Athletic Performance for 5 years. Before working at XP as a strength coach, Ben was an XP athlete where he trained for hockey. Ben played through high school and a few years at the Junior A level.

Ben has gained experience in the exercise, movement, and rehabilitation field, working with Pat Gigante who is the owner of XP. In this time Ben has learned what it is like working with multiple athletes from the youth level all the way up to the professional level. Learning each athletes specific needs from the physical to the psychological side of the game. As a coach at XP, Ben has been given the chance to work at prep schools such as Governors Academy where he has been able to help start health and wellness programs and oversee strength and Conditioning. Along with Coaching at XP, Ben has experience working with teams. Developing a passion for coach and understanding the importance of camaraderie and many other key aspects of developing teams. Ben has served from 2014-2018 as the assistant coach of girls varsity soccer, 2017-2018 assistant boys varsity hockey, and from 2015-2018 as an assistant boys Lacrosse coach at Matignon High School.

Ben’s academic background is in the nutritional science field, as well as psychology where he is anticipating his degree in the Spring of 2019 from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. With expectations to return to school to further develop his academic career
